Intellectual Property Law

What is Intellectual Property?

Intellectual Property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary & artistic works, designs and symbols, names and images used in commerce. IP is protected by law, for example, Patents, Copyright and Trademarks which enable people to earn recognition or financial benefit from what they invent or create. It’s important to understand each fully to ensure that you can properly protect your ideas and prevent the improper use of someone else’s work.

Introduction to Corporate Governance

While Corporate Governance has attracted a great deal of attention from the developed countries of the world, it has certainly become a global issue to be addressed in some fashion by all countries. Corporate governance has become a well-discussed and controversial topic among corporations, shareholders, and the general public. However, the debate over what constitutes “good governance” often lacks structure, making it difficult for shareholders and stakeholders alike to have a constructive discussion about how to improve corporate outcomes.
